About me

I am a licensed clinical psychologist in the state of California (Lic. No. PSY 21880). The majority of my private practice involves individual psychotherapy with children and adults. My clinical specialty is working with cancer patients their families and those with chronic medical illnesses. In addition to my private practice, I hold several appointments at the University of California in San Francisco:

Assistant Director at UCSF's School of Medicine Medical Students Well-Being Program.

Health Sciences Assistant Clinical Professor at the UCSF Department of Psychiatry and School of Medicine I supervises psychiatry residents at the Langley Porter Psychiatric Institute.

I conduct support groups for patients with prostate cancer and colorectal cancer at the UCSF Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center at UCSF's Mount Zion campus.


Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) in Clinical Psychology degree from California School of Professional Psychology (CSPP).

Pre-doctoral intern at Oakes Children's Center working with children with Autism, Pervasive Developmental Disorder and severe emotional disturbance Pre-doctoral intern at California Pacific Medical Center Outpatient Psychiatry working with adults.

Post-doctoral Fellowship in Clinical Health Psychology at Alta Bates Summit Medical Center in Berkeley at the inpatient oncology and hematology.

Giving Back

As a part of giving back to the community I donate my time to several professional organizations in San Francisco:

I served on the board of Trustees for the San Francisco Center for Psychoanalysis (SFCP) and as a Co-Chair of Community Membership Committee.

I served on Educational Committee for Northern California Society for Psychoanalytic Psychology.

I am a member of the Home Within providing pro-bono psychotherapy for children in foster care.
